OverABrew, Midday Meander & Parklife
People like to connect differently and this past year has been tough for that; we've got a selection of ways that may suit you and your community.
Some people connect best when they are doing an activity or hobby, which has led to some members of the Movement creating OverABrew events. These include film club, knitting, reading, poetry, kitchen dancing or even building lego!
Why not give hosting your own OverABrew online or in person event a go?
Isn’t this just a walk we hear you ask? Well yes it is, although it’s a walk where you meet at an agreed time and place so that anyone can wander along with you, think Public Living Room on the move! It’s surprising what conversations can be had as you meander alongside someone else.
You can create a Midday Meander to be at anytime… not just midday, when you organise one go with whatever time suits those coming.
These handy downloadable PDF’s can be used to help advertise your walk, so grab your shoes and go where the road takes you. Don’t forget to tell us your meandering tales by tagging us on social media.
A Public Living Room outdoors, can be marvelous, especially when the weather warms up, although don’t let having to don your thermals and wooly hats put you off in the cooler months! Grab your camping chairs, blankets and comfy cushions and take yourselves outside. This is a brilliant way of creating pop-up Public Living Rooms if you haven’t got an indoor space to use.
If you’re going to hold regular ParkLife meet ups, you may wish to have a Public Living Room in a Box kit to use each time, you can find out more about these here.
Our downloadable PDF’s can help with promoting your ParkLife get together, then everyone brings their chat, own chairs and a flask…. Cake is optional, although it’s not really, definitely bring cake.
