Welcome to the Camerados in primary schools page, packed full of resources that have been created to bring Camerados to life in ks2. There's lesson plans, videos, games, music, for use in PSHE, assemblies, the playground and even after school clubs.
The resources are all based around key behaviours associated with being a camerado to someone, they follow our six principles, which reflect many of the values schools promote.
The resources were created for our pilot in the 2020-2021 academic year and we are currently going through a process of updating a few of them to reflect feedback from teaching staff. You can find out what schools thought of our pilot in the report from the University of Oxford here.
A set of 6 videos, each one covering a different principle, they are designed to be shown at the start of PSHE lessons alongside the accompanying lesson plan to help set the scene of the principle and generate discussions. Watching the videos in order will help with understanding the principles, they can also just be watched as stand alone to remind young people about certain principles and behaviours whenever staff feel they may need too!
These lesson plans accompany the videos and have been designed by our Education Consultation to meet the new PSHE requirements, British Values and SMSC. These lesson plans are a kick starter for teachers so please let your professional imagination do it's thing too and add or change the activity ideas to fit your class and school needs...please do tell us what other ideas you create as it will help to develop the resources for the future.
A set of fun downloadable resources which can be used during lessons, playtimes or wrap around care clubs. Ranging from Camerados Bingo to Comic Strip creation, these resources compliment the lesson plans and can be used to introduce some key concepts in a fun non scary way.
Just in case you run out of the physical posters and postcards that have been sent to your school at the start of term, you can download and print as many extras from here as you like.
